Two Dalit sisters Raped, strangled, and hanged in Utter Pradesh Lakhimpur Kheri:
Police officials said that The minor Dalit sisters were found hanging from a tree in UP’s Lakhimpur Kheri district, and said they were allegedly raped and strangled before being hanged.
Reports said that five of the six accused were arrested last night and the sixth was caught after being shot in the leg in an alleged encounter by Utter Pradesh Police.
The accused will be charged under the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), 2012.
Police disclosed the identification of the six accused as Junaid, Arif, Hafizul Rehman, Karimuddin, Suhail
and Chotu. “All the accused and the girls belong to the same village. Chotu,
son of Chetram, was allegedly friend of the rape victim girls and had
introduced the girls to three of the accused.
The three guys took the girls to a sugarcane
farm and raped them and strangled them to death. Then these men allegedly
hanged the girls with the help of Karimuddin and Arif and make it look like a
suicide; said area police chief Sanjeev Suman.
